چکیده
We explore the contribution of Gaia-Sausage to stellar halo Milky Way by making use a Gaussian Mixture model (GMM) and applying it star samples LAMOST K giants, SEGUE SDSS blue horizontal branch stars. The GMM divides into two parts, which one represents more metal-rich highly radially biased component associated with an ancient, head-on collision referred as Gaia-Sausage, other is metal-poor isotropic halo. A symmetric bimodal used describe distribution spherical velocity we find that mean absolute radial lobes decreases Galactocentric radius. contributes about $41\%-74\%$ inner (Galactocentric radius $r_\mathrm{gc} < 30$ kpc) fraction stars starts decline beyond \sim$ $25-30$ kpc, outer found be significantly less influenced than After removal substructures integrals motion, \textit{Gaia}-Sausage falls slightly within 25 but still high $30\%-63\%$. Finally, select several possible Sausage-related consisting on eccentric orbits. GMM/Sausage agrees well selected substructure in their chemodynamical properties, increases our confidence reliability fits.

متن کاملThe Sloan Digital Sky Survey
The Sloan Digital Sky Survey is an ambitious, multi-institutional project to create a huge digital imaging and spectroscopic data bank of 25% of the celestial sphere, approximately 10,000 deg2 centred on the north galactic polar cap. The photometric atlas will be in 5 specially-chosen colours, covering the π ster of the Survey area to a limiting magnitude of r′∼23.1, on 0′′ . 4 pixels, resultin...
متن کاملThe Sloan Digital Sky Survey
The Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) will carry out a digital photometric and spectroscopic survey over π steradians in the northern Galactic cap. An array of CCD detectors used in drift-scan mode will image the sky in five passbands to a limiting magnitude of r′ ∼ 23. Selected from the imaging survey, 10 galaxies, 10 quasars and selected samples of stars will be observed spectroscopically. In a...
متن کاملHorizontal Branch Stars in the Galactic Stellar Halo
I review the properties of the Galaxy’s stellar halo, specifically as traced by horizontal branch stars, but with reference to and in comparison with other stellar tracers. I discuss the halo density profile, the variation in horizontal branch morphology with Galactic position, and the kinematics of halo stars in several regions of the Galaxy. I summarize the horizontal branch star findings and...
متن کاملLarge Scale Structure in the Sloan Digital Sky Survey
The primary observational goals of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey are to obtain CCD imaging of 10,000 deg of the north Galactic cap in five passbands, with a limiting magnitude in the r-band of 22.5, to obtain spectroscopic redshifts of 10 galaxies and 10 quasars, and to obtain similar data for three ∼ 200 deg stripes in the south Galactic cap, with repeated imaging to allow co-addition and varia...
